Criolla´s Beans

Ingredients

  • 150 gr. of Andes Natural ® Canary Beans
  • ¼ cup of oil
  • ½ onion
  • 70 gr. smoked rib
  • 1 tea spoon of ground Green chili
  • 1 spoon of chopped garlic
  • 1 spoon of dry thyme
  • Water
  • Salt and pepper.

Preparation

  1. Soak the beans in water for one night, then put in a pot with water until you cover them and bring it to cook.
  2. Change water 2 times while cooking until they start to burst.
  3. Once they are ready, finely chop the onion and cut the smoked rib into small pieces.
  4. In a frying pan heat the oil, fry the onion and garlic. Then, add the ground green pepper and the sliced rib.
  5. Add the cooked beans and some of the water with which they were cooked. Season with thyme, salt and pepper. Leave it cooking for 15 minutes more so that it has the desired flavor with the previous ingredients. It can be served with rice, and a portion of salad of your preference.
